Swimming lessons for children with disabilities and Special Educational Needs

We are excited to welcome swimmers with a disability and special educational needs to Great Waves Swimming Academy. Our teachers possess the expert qualifications to provide swimmers with a safe and encouraging environment, to either begin their swimming experience or refine their current skills and abilities. We are here to offer parents and swimmers peace of mind that all needs are catered for in a supportive and committed environment. With instructors always teaching in the water, and at times accompanied by an assistant teacher, all participants will reach their full potential.

Planned in Conjunction with Parents

On enquiry, we will provide a phone consultation to ensure that we plan and deliver the most suitable swimming lessons. Our disability and special educational needs lessons range from group lessons of 30 minutes, or 2-2-1 and 1-2-1 lessons either of a length of 20 or 30 minutes, depending on the individuals needs.

Swimmers learn best when taught by teachers who understand each individual in the class. We strive to ensure that every swimmer is happy and comfortable in our lessons. We offer swimmers a free trial session to ensure that parents and children alike are happy with our teaching support. The trial also enables our teachers to determine each swimmer’s ability and place everyone in a class that continually aids their water confidence and progression.
